The Department is responsible for: • managing the Ministry’s financial resources in an efficient and transparent manner in line with extant rules and regulations; • recording and reporting cash-flow transactions; • processing payments for all approved expenditure; • preparing periodic financial reports/statements for relevant stakeholders; • keeping all relevant books of accounts; • assisting with budget preparation on Government activities; and • monitoring the implementation of Ministry’s expenditure to ensure adherence to financial procedure.
